Fairford Youth Football Club is excited to share something new for the Club. For 50 years we’ve provided a place for children from Fairford, Lechlade and the surrounding towns and villages to play football. Anyone who has wanted to play has been welcomed into our football family.

Now, thanks to the efforts of our U15 coach Gemma, we are pleased to be launching a Women’s Walking Football Programme. “I’m very passionate about getting more people into the game” said Gemma. “I love coaching our Under 15s, but this is an opportunity to get more people involved in football. The growth in Women’s football over the past decade has been incredible and there are a lot of women who missed out on their opportunity to play – these session will be a chance for them to change that!”
Sessions will intially be held at Farmors’ Sports Hall, with plans to move to the new all-weather surface at the school once it is operational. FYFC Chair Adam Sloman said “This is obviously something very new for our club, for 50 years we’ve provided Youth Football for thousands of kids, this will see us providing something for adults. We’re fully supportive of anything and everything that benefits our community. We’re excited to see how this can grow and develop.”
