Fairford Youth Football Club<\/strong><\/span> is delighted to announce the award of a \u00a364,000 Football Foundation grant to the Club.<\/p>\n

The Football Foundation is the UK\u2019s largest sports charity and exists to improve the experience of playing football for everyone, by championing fair access to quality facilities.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

With training now returning, and with plans for a safe return to league football in place, the grant from the Football Foundation will allow FYFC to make improvements to both the pitches at Horcott Road and the Club House.<\/p>\n

Payable over ten years, the grant will enable the Club which plays in the North Wilts Youth Football League, provides fun, engaging and safe football to almost 300 children each week, to improve their facilities.<\/p>\n

Players will be able to enjoy better quality pitches and soon, a renovated clubhouse which will represent a significant improvement on the existing facilities<\/p>\n

FYFC worked with the Football Foundation and the Gloucestershire FA to secure a grant towards the project.<\/p>\n

Adam Sloman, Club Chairman, said: \u201cThis is a brilliant result for not just us as a Club, but also all the children that play for Fairford Youth Football Club \u2013 this grant will help more kids from the local community get involved in football and to secure the Club\u2019s future. It\u2019s not just a benefit for us, but for the whole community. I\u2019d like to thank our Club Development Officer, Alan Stratford, for his hard work in securing the grant.\u201d<\/p>\n

This latest grant follows the successful application for a \u00a3500 Covid-19 preparation grant and an award of \u00a31800 towards new goals.<\/p>\n
