The Club Committee is voted in on an annual basis at the Club’s AGM, typically held in May, to allow for preparations before the coming year’s football or to hand over roles to new committee members.
FYFC welcomes any volunteer wishing to help the Club achieve its aims and objectives. Please ask a coach to put you in touch with the committee.
Here is the current club committee, effective for the 2024-2025 season.
Chair: Adam Sloman
About: Adam has been involved with FYFC since 2015, initially an assistant coach at Kickstart, then supporting our Falcons team since Under 7. Since 2022 Adam has also supported the coaching of our Tornadoes team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead Club Direction
- Represent the club in a positive and professional manner
- Organise and run regular committee meetings
- Abide by the code and conduct of the football club
Other roles: Assistant coach, U12s Tornadoes and U15s. Website and social media. Clubhouse and facilities management.

Vice Chair: Chris Drabwell
About: Chris boasts over a decade with Fairford Youth. He has two children currently playing with FYFC, one at U16 and one at U13.
Other roles: Assistant coach, U16 and U13. Part of the Club’s safeguarding and welfare team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the Club Chair with leading the club in a positive direction.
- Ensure the Chair and other committee members abide by the Club’s code of consude.
- Stand in as Chair in situation where the elected Chair is unavilable.

Club Secretary: Jason Winter
About: Jason played for Fairford Youth growing up and has been coaching at FYFC since 2014. Jason played adult football locally, as well as coaching. He has previously also held the role of Vice Chair.

Roles and Responsibilites:
- Responsible for all correspondence in and out of the club Register the club with the FA
- Process all player registrations and organise signing on evenings
- Register the club with the leagues
- Ensure the correct Administration of the Club
- Enforce League rules & regulations Attend NW&DF League meetings

Club Development Officer: Alan Stratford
About: Alan has spent over a decade volunteering at Fairford Youth. He has played local football both at Youth and Adult level. Alan holds an FA Level Two coaching qualification.
Other roles: Head Coach, U16, supporting coach, FYFC Girls sessions.

Treasurer: Ross Daniel
About: Ross has been coaching at FYFC for a number of years, looking after one of U9s teams. For the past few years he has taken on the uneviable task of treasurer, working hard to ensure the Club’s finances remain in good order.
Other roles: Head Coach, U9 Harriers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the finances of the club
- Process income and expenditure of the club ensuring the best use is made of club funds
- Ensure that an audited set of accounts is available for each years AGM
- Represent the club in a positive and professional manner
- Attend regular committee meetings
- Abide by the code and conduct of the football club

Club Manager – Vacant
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the registered teams and their team managers
- Support Chairman in leading and developing the Club
- Look for opportunities and organise fund raising opportunities for the club Arrange training facilities
- Ensure appropriate kit is available for playing and training
- Organise presentation evening, 6-a-side and other activities
- Lead the club to achieve the grading of FA Charter Standard
- Hold regular team manager meetings
- Attend NW&DF League meetings
- Represent the club in a positive and professional manner. Attend regular committee meetings
Club Welfare Officer: Becky Taylor
About: Becky joined the FYFC committee in May 2024. With an extensive background in safeguarding and child welfare, Becky is ideally placed to support the Club with any and all welfare and safeguarding needs. She is supported in the role by Vice Chairman, Chris Drabwell.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the club’s activities are always run in accordance with Child Protection policies Attend regular committee meetings
- Abide by the code and conduct of the football club
- Refer any club child protection or poor practice concerns to the CFA CPO
- Seek advice from The FA/NSPCC Helpline if the CFA CPO is unavailable or in circumstances of child protection urgency
- Seek advice from local Social Services or the Police in an emergency
- Encourage the club to discuss and implement The FA’s Child Protection Policy Encourage the club to utilise The FA’s Child Protection and Best Practice Guidelines on recruiting volunteers and always requesting and following up references Encourage the club to discuss and implement The FA’s Child Protection and Best Practice Guidelines on the use of images and organising travel, trips and tournaments Advocate that the CRB Disclosure be used as part of the club’s safeguarding initiatives and encourage the club to make use of The FA CRB Unit Support the club in identifying those who require a CRB Disclosure
- Promote, support and encourage the benefits of the child protection and best practice education and awareness programme.
- The CWO will promote best practice throughout the club and play a key role in dealing with poor practice concerns in line with the club’s own disciplinary process.

About: Sarah has been coaching at FYFC since 2017, initially with Kickstart, before leading her Tornadoes team from their first steps in development football through to today. Sarah has also taken on responsibility for organising and restocking the Club’s kitchen, both for weekend fixtures and other Club events.
